When your friend gives you apples...

Granny Smith apples are very versatile and personally my favorite apple- it's bitter yet juicy taste make it perfect to develop delicious treats. My wonderful friend Shara has these massive apple trees in her yard. She gave me the go to pick everything we wanted once they were ready to harvest, I could not wait for that moment! Pesticide free, organic, home grown apples sounded like a dream.

On a beautiful sunny day, the kids and I eagerly headed to her home. Our private apple picking experience fulfilled my every craving. Her yard is huge, quiet, and simply a green paradise. It felt like we were getting the first pick at the farm. Seeing apples in every size and shape, thriving through sun and rain, wounded by birds and insects- embracing their journey front and center at our own pace made it so much better.
